Observation of National / International Important Days

The Department has been making arrangements for observing national and international importance days every month for 2 -3 days in all the districts of the state by organizing suitable programmes i.e. workshops, conferences and rallies etc., involving youth members of youth clubs, non-governmental organizations, NCC, NSS, educational institutions etc.,

431st MayWorld Tobbaco DayTo conduct elocution and essay writing competitions on the evil effects of consuming tobacco in any form like chewing, cigarettee smoking etc., and conduct rallies, street plays etc., on the evil effects of consuming of tobacco.

2 28th July World Nature Conservation Day To celebrate the event in creative and innovative way among the youth and arrange awareness programmes and other events on” Nature Conversation” in collaboration with other line departments. Competitions of the events that are proposed : seminar / debates, 2K run, Poster making competitions, campaign on sustainable development, Anti plastic, Anti pollution, Swachch Bharath, Tree plantation.

413th AugustOrgan Donation DayTo conduct awareness programmes on the importance of eyes and other organs donation, conduct rallies, encourage youth to give pledge to donate organs etc.,
SEPTEMBER
129th SeptemberWorld Heart DayConduct health check-up camps and distribution of free medicines. Awareness programmes to keep a healthy life style and a good heart functioning.

18th MarchInternational Women's DayTo organise talks by reputed lady doctors, reputed lady professionals on work-life balance, sports and cultural programmes etc.,
215th MarchWorld Consumer Rights DayTo organize games and sports activities, drama competition, mono action, elocution on privileges etc., in coordination with Youth Clubs and Non-governmental organizations.
